The Surgicentre team recently took part in an education day held here at the Ballarat Surgicentre. We participated in various discussions involving infection control, hand hygiene, chemical safety, staff wellbeing, OH&S, clinical communication between staff, patients and carers and various other topics. The staff also participated in 2 fire drills involving different scenarios in evacuating the building safely, well done to all staff involved! Another big topic of discussion was the review of the National Standards version 2, and how these new changes affect us and how they will be implemented to ensure the practice complies with the new regulations. A very informative day!
